Places of Interest in Bogota

As a foreigner in Bogota, there are some interesting places that you must see. These are not necessarily the typical tourist destinations but offer a unique glimpse into Colombian culture. Here are just a few of the most interesting places in Bogota.

Monserrate cathedral

The first place you should visit is the Monserrate cathedral. It offers a great view of Bogota and the surrounding mountains. If you are looking for something more historical, then you should visit the Gold Museum. It is home to over 55,000 pieces of gold from different parts of the world.

Another great museum is the National Museum. It has a large collection of Colombian art and is definitely worth a visit. For something a bit more off the beaten path, you should check out the Botero Museum. It is dedicated to the work of Colombian artist Fernando Botero.


Bogota with kids
