El Parche goes to HOVE!

This year's Norsk Skulpturbiennale will be Absolutely Safe... Please enjoy our sculpture outside the Vigeland Museum. The biennale is open from June 5th to august 24th.

Herman Mbamba will take part in the Juniutstilling - Alone in the Dark at Kunstnerforbundet. The exhibition will open the 7th of Juni.

Olga Robayo will take part in the exhibition Recycling the looking-glass, Trash art-Found objects, curated by Samir M'kadmi. The exhibition will open on April 5th at Oslo Kunstforening.

Herman Mbamba shows some of his new drawings in the group exhibition Obergeschoss dritter finger rechts at Ballhaus Ost/3.Etage, Berlin.

Kultivator (Malin Lindmark, Mathieu Vrijman, Mia Lindmark, Henric Stigeborn, Marlene Lindmark and Kalle Runeson) invited El Parche to join the Supermodel exhibition at W139, Amsterdam.

El Parche participates in Earthworks, a group show on enviromental art and site specific in the rural village of Dyestad, Öland.

Organized by KULTIVATOR, an experimental cooperation of organic farming and visual art practice.

Marius Wang will take part of the seminar JUST LOOKING, organized by Fotogalleriet and FFF, Oslo

Fotogalleriet og FFF inviterer herved til seminaret JUST LOOKING fredag 16. mars

Inviterte deltakere er: Mette Mortensen (Post. doc. ved Institutt for film og medier ved Københavns Universitet), Rune Gade (Phd. i kunsthistorie og lektor ved Institutt for kunst og kulturvitenskap ved Københavns Universitet), Hedevig Anker (billedkunstner), Marius Wang (billedkunstner) og Jonas Ekeberg (direktør Preus Museum).

Seminaret vil diskutere et sentralt diskusjonsområde innenfor fotografisk teori, nemlig fotografiet som maktverktøy. Ethvert blikk innehar politiske, emosjonelle og etiske føringer, ingen blikkutveksling er nøytral. Dette gjør nettopp fotografiet til et ladet objekt. Seminaret vil tematisere hvorvidt fotografiets "uutholdelige realisme" fortsatt utøver en reell makt (som bevis, vitne, som en reell pådriver for politisk og etisk engasjement). De etiske beveggrunner som ligger til grunn for synsakten, spesielt i forhold til det å fotografere, gir seminarets tittel en dobbel bunn. "Just looking" reflekterer i så måte over det uforpliktende kontra det ansvarlige blikk. Vi spør: Innehar alle blikk, og all fotografering, en iboende kontrakt mellom seende og sett?
