Located in the barrio La Macarena, in the centre of Bogotá, EL PARCHE ARTIST RESIDENCY-BOGOTA is an open cultural space where artists and curators are invited to develop works and research.
Visiting artists and curators are integrated with the local artist community and receive assistance with the logistical aspects of their projects and/or research.
All artist residencies culminate in an exhibition produced by
EL PARCHE ARTIST RESIDENCY-BOGOTA.
During their stay, artists are to realize a project involving a local community, as one of the main interests of El Parche is the living experience that the residency offers to visiting artists.

EL PARCHE ARTIST RESIDENCY-BOGOTA is supported by
During his stay at the residency Smebye will initiate a week long sound sculpture workshop in collaboration with local artists working with sound and music experiments. The workshop will take place in the residency studio and will focus on involving local kids in making their own marimbas. The marimbas are based on the most basic principles of resonance and rhythm, and will be made of cutoff materials from stone, bamboo, metal and wood. The pieces will be shown and played on during a public performance at the Septimazo Friday 24 July at 18 hrs.
OPEN STUDIO
The process and performance will be documented and shown alongside other works in felt, foil and nylon.
Thursday 30 July at 18.30 hrs.


Ciranni will show new drawings and launch his book Grosso Mal.
On the ocassion of this event visitors will also enjoy a live painting show by POWERPAOLA and a performance by NOBARA HAYAKAWA and ADRIANA GARCIA GALAN.
This exhibition is made in connection to the touring show by collective HARTAS ARTISTAS.

Her stay at EL PARCHE is bond to the exhibition HARTAS ARTISTAS in Bogotá.
HARTAS ARTISTAS is a project by Adriana Berrio (Lady Bionika) and Paola Gaviria (Powerpaola), which seeks to create a space directed at showing the possibilities offered by women's contemporary drawing.
